The Dredge Report
This entry is for the 5 year old boy readers of SIAJ. The Vallejo ferry terminal recently closed for some maintenance dredging. While they dredge, the ferry is temporarily using an alternate dock next door by the dentist’s office. I took these pix just now while waiting for my boat home. I think my camera spooked the dredger, however, because right after taking these shots, I watched as the scooper thing came apart and “plop!” dropped down into the water. Or maybe it was some kinda karmic justice that the unionized dredgers I saw picketing this morning (sorry, no pix) had arranged for? As we left, the boat in the last shot came by to help out and dredge the dredger. At least I suppose– I really don’t know what it was going to do.

Sounds to me like it was a hint from the mafia not to mess with their union boys. I know ’cause I saw something similar happen on Dr. Who.
